Because no two travellers are the same. And no journey should be either.
How we started
Swingo is the tour brand of Avenidas Invertidas, Lda., registered in Lisbon on 5 August 2016. The first ride went out on 19 September 2016. Our founder drove it himself, and the first passenger was also him, testing the app before he let a paying traveller near it. The second was a German visitor taking his own first ride. Ten years later we run private tours, airport transfers and private drivers out of Lisbon and Porto, still from the same city, still with our own team on the road.
We built Swingo around one idea: travel should feel personal, effortless and genuinely local, guided by people who call this country home.

The person behind Swingo
Manuel founded Swingo in 2016 and drove the very first ride himself, on 19 September that year. He still sets the routes, picks the vehicles and answers the hard emails. Everything published on this site, from the destination guides to the itineraries, is written or reviewed by him and by the guides who run the day.

How we run the day
70% of our fleet is electric, which is what lets us run city routes and day trips at a much lower footprint than a diesel equivalent. Vehicles are assigned by party size and luggage: a sedan carries up to 3 travellers, a van up to 8, and a van plus sedan up to 11. Services are delivered by professional drivers and, where the experience calls for one, by a qualified guide.

Swingo is the trading name of Avenidas Invertidas, Lda., a Portuguese tourist-entertainment company. Portuguese law requires a licensed operator to publish its registration number and registered office across all of its commercial activity, including online. Here is ours.

We also hold the civil liability insurance required of tourist-entertainment operators.

Services are delivered by professional drivers and, where the experience calls for one, by a qualified guide. Some services are operated by qualified subcontractors and partners acting on our behalf. Vehicle and crew are assigned according to party size, luggage and the service booked, and confirmed before the day.
Yes. A booking made directly with us can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time for a full refund. Cancellations inside 24 hours, and no-shows, are not refundable. If you booked through Viator or GetYourGuide, that channel's cancellation policy applies and the cancellation is made there.
Directly at swingo.pt, with instant confirmation rather than a request form and a wait. We also sell through Viator and GetYourGuide, and take partner and agency bookings at book@swingo.pt. Booking direct is the only channel where you deal with our own team from the first message to the pickup.
Write to info@swingo.pt with your booking reference and we typically reply within a few hours. As a licensed Portuguese operator we also carry the electronic complaint book, linked in the footer of every page, which sends your complaint straight to the competent Portuguese authority.
